Mrs. Janet Lea Peyton Phillips, age 44, of 3793 Old Hwy. 441, Alto, Georgia, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Landmark Hospital in Athens, Georgia.

A daughter of Bruce Peyton and Hazel Glenn Hardman, she was born August 24, 1969 in Jackson County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Banks County, Georgia. She was employed in home health care for a number of years and attended Line Baptist Church in Banks County. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Phillip Hardman and by her father-in-law, Norman Phillips.

She is survived by her father and step-mother, Bruce and Joyce Peyton of Alto, Ga., mother, Hazel Hardman of Lavonia, Ga., husband, Steve Phillips of the home, four sisters, Shelia and Jeff Neave of Alto, Ga., Pat Whitlock of Maysville, Ga., Melba and Junior Lewallen of Baldwin, Ga., and Martha and Jessie Wall of Mt. Airy, Ga., sisters-in-law, Carolyn Chambers and Patricia and Tim Edge all of Toccoa, two brothers-in-law, Randall and Karen Ellard and Jerry and Vivian Norris all of Toccoa, four step-sisters, Regina and Stevie Caudell of Homer, Ga., Marcia and Bernie Walker of Toccoa, and Gwen Whitehead and Sherry Tara both of Homer, Ga., mother-in-law, Gladys Phillips of Toccoa, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2013, 2:00 PM, at Line Baptist Church with The Reverend Kenneth McIntyre officiating.

The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers and will please assemble at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home by 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Ethan Frady, Salem Frady, Cody Whitlock, Tyler Smallwood, Randall Ellard, Cameron Edge, and Casey Chambers.

The family will be at the home of Gladys Phillips, Arlo Todd Road, Toccoa and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 PM to 9 PM
