Mrs. LaVerne Mote Edge, 65, of Alto, GA. passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013.
Born in Pendergrass, GA., Mrs. Edge had lived in Hall County, for most of her life, before moving to Habersham County 15 years ago. She was the daughter of the late William A. and Fairy Bell Brumbalow Mote. She was a homemaker and a member of Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Edge served in the U.S. Army.
Mrs. Edge is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gary Edge of Alto; son and daughter in law, Eric and Heather Baggett of Maysville; grandson, Ryan Baggett of Hemphill, TX; sisters and brothers in law, Diane and Wayne Dale and Teresa and Frank Hooper of Gainesville; godson, Tim McCormick Alto, GA and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday November 3, 2013 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Sexton will officiate. Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Saturday November 2, 2103 from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Montgomery Memorial Benevolent Care Fund, 1210 W. Ridge Rd. Gainesville, GA 30501.
