Ruby Martin Samples

Ruby Martin Samples, age 93 of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Southern Traditions in Buchanan, Georgia following an extended illness.


Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 1:00 pm in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 4 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Samples was born May 15, 1920 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Cleve Martin and Lydia Poole Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Rosa Lee Stevens and her son, Richard Samples.

Mrs. Samples is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, H. C. & Trish Samples of Gainesville and Hershell & Sharon Samples of Gainesville, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
