David Lewis Hamby

David Lewis Hamby, age 76, of Cumming, GA died October 29, 2013. Mr. Hamby, a native of Cumming, was the son of the late Lewis Franklin & Ellene Mullinax Hamby. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Margie Webb and Margaret Hamby, brothers, Tommy and Edgar Hamby and step grandson, Casey Calloway. David was retired from the United States Navy and was the owner and operator of Dental Equipment Repairs for 30 years.

He is survived by wife, Joyce Hamby, Cumming, GA, son, Wayne Hamby, Cumming, GA, daughters, Leah Leggett, of Athens, GA, and Susan Hamby, of Monroe, GA; stepchildren, Renee and Glen Black of Austell, GA, Chris and Tiffany Cheney of Marietta, GA and Robert and Stephanie Davis of Talking Rock, GA; sisters, Louise Wilbanks, of Cumming, GA, Ethel Haney, of Winder, GA, and brother, John Hamby, of Cumming, GA.; grandchildren, Nickolas Hamby, Devon Hamby and Mariah Hamby; and step-grandchildren, Calvin and Luke Black, Brent Calloway, Katie Adams and Colin and Connor Cheney. Several Nieces & Nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, November 4, 2013 in the McDonald & Son Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Scott Wilbanks and Larry Wilbanks will officiate. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm Monday at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 1:00
