Harold Leonard Puckett

Harold Leonard Puckett, age 83 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Scott Gilstrap will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 28, 2013 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Puckett was born November 29, 1929 in Ft. Worth, Texas to the late Leonard Puckett and Mardelle Brown Puckett. He was the owner/operator of Puckett Barber Shop for over 40 years. Harold attended Corner Stone North Church and was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Georgia Anne Payne and brother, Ezmel Puckett. He was loved by all who knew him. Harold was a devoted husband, a loving father & grandfather, a great barber and a true friend.

Mr. Puckett is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carrie Puckett, daughter & son-in-law, Vicki & Dennis Fowler of Murrayville, daughter, Gloria Gilstrap of Gainesville, grandchildren, Scott & Elizabeth Gilstrap, Mandy & Erick Bauman, Matthew & Jennifer Wildeboer and Denita Stephens, 6 great-grandchildren and brother & sister-in-law, Walter & Donna Puckett of Buford.
