Elizabeth Head

Mrs. Elizabeth Head, age 88, of Plainville, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013following an extended illness.

Mrs. Head was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County, and had spent the last 15 years in Plainville, GA where she loved spending time traveling with her husband Loye in their RV. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Lewis and Mamie Webb Mosley, and was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Loye Head; grandson, Jeffrey Ballard; son-in-law, Wayne Ballard; and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Head is survived by daughter, Mildred Ballard, Calhoun, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Kay Head, Gray, TN, Richard and Joyce Head, Murrayville, GA, Mark and Carole Head, Plainville, GA; grandchildren, Lisa Duball, Michael Allen Head, Jody Head, Nicole Jarrard, Ashley Atwood, Michelle Head, and McKayla Head. 11 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Elizabeth are scheduled for 11 AM Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Concord Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 4 PM until 9 PM on Friday, October 25, 2013, and until time of service on Saturday, October 26, 2013.
