Cleo Ellard Stowe

Mrs. Cleo Ellard Stowe, age 94 of 794 Frank Arrowood Road, Cornelia, Georgia passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Oaks at Scenic View in Baldwin, Georgia.

A daughter of the late Claude and Maggie Fitzgerald Ellard, she was born May 5, 1919 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived a greater part of her life and the last 20 years in Cornelia, Georgia. She was employed with Coats and Clark for a number of years and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Smith of Cornelia; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two brothers, John Ellard of Canton, Georgia and Claude Ellard, Jr. of Rutledge, Georgia; niece, Laura Maxwell and nephew, Billy Maxwell.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 25, 3:30 PM at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Stacy Miller officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, David Umberhant, William Smith, Jimmy Truelove, Joe Gosnell, Fred Gosnell and Clyde Gosnell;

The family will receive friends at Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens with Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Cleo Ellard Stowe.
