Lousie Hallford

Obituary Date: Tuesday, October 22, 2013
Funeral services for Louise Gosnell Hallford, age 90, of Clarkesville will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 25, 2013 from the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Rev. Kenneth McEntire, Rev. Furman Lewis, and Rev. Tommy Stowe will officiate with interment to follow the service in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Hallford died Tuesday, October 22, 2013 following a period of declining health.

Born on June 18, 1923 in Habersham County, Mrs. Hallford was the daughter of the late Emory Howard and Rosie Maude Smith Gosnell. She was retired from Scovill Fasteners Inc. where she worked in quality control. Mrs. Hallford was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she helped in the after school and nursery programs. She had also been a Sunday School teacher and she enjoyed going on trips with the senior adults.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hallford is preceded in death by husband Clarence "Poon" Hallford, sister and brother in law Katheryn and Ray McClain, nephew Roy McClain, sisters in law Wilma Hallford and Grace Hallford, brothers in law and their wives Willie and Sarah Hallford and Jimmy and Majell Hallford, sister in law and her husband Lucille and Jake Church, and brothers in law Jerry Hallford, Edward Hallford, and Hughie Hallford.

Survivors include daughter and son in law Rosalie and Sherril Fry of Clarkesville, granddaughter Mary Fry of Clarkesville, grandson and wife George and Susanne Fry of Clarkesville, grandsons Randall Fry of Clarkesville and Cole Fry of Carrollton, great granddaughters Jacey Fry and Autumn Fry of Clarkesville, sister and brother in law Mauderie and Roy McIntyre of Clarkesville, brother in law and wife Raymond and Lorain Hallford of Demorest and sisters in law Ping Hallford, Mildred Hallford, and Carolyn Hallford all of Demorest, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Food-2-Kids Ministry, c/o Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 510 Hollywood Hill Road, Clarkesville, GA 30523.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM at Hillside Memorial Chapel, Clarkesville, Georgia.
