Jerry Lee Lance, age 65 of Gillsville, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Scott Lance officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Lance was born June 14, 1948 in Jackson County, Georgia to the late Clyde and Willie Mae Funderburk Lance. He was self-employed and attended Pond Fork Baptist Church. Mr. Lance was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Samantha Lance and his brother, James Lance.

Mr. Lance is survived by his wife, Deborah Ann Lance of Gillsville; son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Kia Lance of Gainesville; daughter, Stacy Lance of Cleveland; daughter, Crystal Lance of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas J. and Misty Adams of Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law Nicholis and Melissa Adams of Cleveland; daughter, Amanda Wilkies of Jefferson; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Jay Jarrard of Cleveland; daughter, Kimberly Hut of Gillsville; daughter, Valerie Watkins of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Willie and Joe Gee of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Junior and Hazel Lance of Pendergrass; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Judy Lance of Lula; 21 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
