Inez Dixie Byers Elliott

Mrs. Inez Dixie Byers Elliott, age 85, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away Friday, October 18, 2013.

Mrs. Elliott was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County where she spent 66 years of marriage to Leroy Elliott as a homemaker. She was the last survivor of the late George W. and Omia Reeves Byers. She was well known for her southern cooking, and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Lumpkin County. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Inez is survived by her husband of 66 years, Leroy Elliott; son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Alice Elliott, Dahlonega, GA; daughter, Elaine Elliott, Duluth, GA; and grandson, C.J. Elliott, Dahlonega, GA.

Funeral services for Inez are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Phillip Partin and Rev. David Bost will officiate.

Interment will follow in the St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 5 PM until 9 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2013, and Noon until time of service on Monday, October 21, 2013.
