Larry Dean Cross, age 70 of Buford, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 14, 2013. A Home going Service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dwayne Wellborn and Larry McKenna will officiate. Dean retired from Ford Motor Company in 1995 after 30 years. He then went to work for Jacky Jones Ford and Ewing Motor Company. He was currently employed at Securitas and was a member of Free Chapel in Gainesville. Dean was very active in his AA group and gave God all the glory for his sobriety. He never met a stranger and always had a smile for anyone he met. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Willie J. and Lois Cross, brother, Burl Cross, son-in-law, Richie MacCue, and grandson, Jake MacCue. He is survived by his Wife, Linda Allen Cross; Children: Larry & Teresa Cross, Buford; Tammy Evans, Flowery Branch; Angie MacCue, Columbia, SC; Michele & Ronnie Threlkeld, Buford; Sisters & Brothers-in-law: Sue & Hinton Porter, Martin; Patsy & Terry McElhannon, Auburn; Grandchildren: Lara & Blake Wayne; Randa Rashed; Kayla & Joey Williams; Danielle Nabywaniec; Andrew Evans; MA. Kelby Threlkeld, US Navy; Shelby Threlkeld; Great Granddaughters: Nariah Bell, Raeann & Charleigh Williams, Maela Wayne; Numerous Nieces & Nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peachtree Christian Hospice, 3430 Duluth Park Lane, Duluth, GA 30096 or Jericho House, P.O. Box 2863, Cleveland, GA 30528. The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 9 PM on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, 3481 Hamilton Mill Road, Buford, GA 30519.
