Sarah 'Nanny' Ruth Garrison Healan

Obituary Date: Monday, October 14, 2013

Mrs. Sarah "Nanny Ruth" Garrison Healan age 83 of Gillsville passed away on Monday October 14, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday October 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. Reverend Dwayne Ryals will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday October 16, 2013 from 11:00-3:00 p.m. and 5:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Healan was born on July 06, 1930 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late James Howard Garrison and Lenora Free Garrison. She was a retired homemaker and was a member of Community Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 50 years, John Paul Healan, brother, Raymond Garrison, and sister, Doris Edge.

Mrs. Healan is survived by her daughter, Kathy Gilstrap, daughter, Karol and Raymond Tullis, son, and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Rhonda Healan, son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Beth Healan, 13 grand-children, 32 great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Talmadge and Jeanine Garrison, brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Mary Ann Garrison, brothers, Edwin Garrison, and Gary Garrison, sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and O.C. Forrester, sister-in-law, Louise Garrison.
