Nancy Lynn Martin

Nancy Lynn Martin, 68, of Gainesville, beloved wife of John H. Lucas of 16 Years and companion for 22 years, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2012. Nancy was born January 11, 1945 in Miami, Florida to the late Frank Martin and Maude Hunter Martin, and she is preceded in death by both her parents and her son Scott Baker.

Nancy had very strong work ethic and was a very caring, loving and compassionate person with a strong moral compass, as was shown in Nancy's 16 years of working for the Georgia Department of Corrections and Department of Family and Children's Services. Nancy attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO, and Brenau College, and obtained an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.

Designing and making original jewelry was Nancy's passion as was the enjoyment of music, and cats.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Dahlonega, Georgia on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the St. Luke's Catholic Church St. Vincent De Paul Society.
