Geraldine Harper Spear

Mrs. Geraldine Harper Spear, age 84, of Commerce, GA died Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Northridge Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Spear was born in Monroe, GA to the late Gene and Clyde Savage Harper. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Commerce and the LDH Sunday School Class. She was also a member of Four Seasons Garden Club. Mrs. Spear was a retired nurse and later in life a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spear was preceded in death by her husband, J. Nolan Spear, Sr.; son, J. Nolan Spear, Jr.; and sister, Imogene Harper Losier.

Mrs. Spear is survived by her daughter, Becky Oliver (Howard) of Dawson; son, Gerald Spear of Commerce; daughter-in-law, Vickie McElroy of Commerce; grandsons, Chas Oliver (Pati), Tre Spear (Nicole) and Josh Spear (Clare); great-grandchildren, Peyton Oliver, Avery Oliver, Hunter Spear, Judd Spear, Blake Spear and Cole Spear; sisters-in-law, Mable Ray and Julia Spear.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Monday, October 14 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Dr. Carlton Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday night from 6 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Commerce or Eagle Ranch.
