Barbara Fitzgerald Banks

Mrs. Barbara Fitzgerald Banks, age 64 of 3243 Wood Creek Place, Gainesville, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Landmark Hospital in Athens, Georgia.

A daughter of Dillard Fitzgerald and the late Frances Elrod Fitzgerald, she was born November 22, 1948 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived most of her life and the last year in Gainesville. She was a retired Registered Nurse and was of the Holiness faith.

Survivors include her father, Dillard Fitzgerald of Gainesville, Georgia; daughter, Tammy Geeter of Eastanollee, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Esther Banks of Eastanollee, Georgia; three grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Fitzgerald of Toccoa, Georgia; sisters, Teresa Coffee of Suwanee, Georgia, Peggy Curtin and Judy Fitzgerald both of Gainesville, Georgia and Pat Transue of Tennessee.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 14, 2 O'clock PM at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from 4 PM to 6 PM and Sunday, 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM.

Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens with Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Barbara Fitzgerald Banks.
