Opal Mae Holcomb Wimpy

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Opal Mae Holcomb Wimpy, age 77 of Cleveland. Mrs. Wimpy passed away, October 2, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Memorial services are scheduled for 3:00pm, Saturday, October 12, 2013 from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jimmy Rogers and Rev. Larry Forrester officiating.

Opal was born in Towns County and is preceded in death by her parents, Fred Holcomb and Faye Rogers Holcomb, in addition she is preceded by her sisters Helen Holcomb Fain and Ruth Holcomb. She was a homemaker and a member of Old Union Baptist Church i n Young Harris .
Survivors include her son and daughter in law , F.C. and Pam Wimpy of Martin; granddaughter, Sharon Crossman of Atlanta and great granddaughter, Eliza Noel; sister, Virginia Dean of Helen; brothers, James (Bill) Holcomb of Hiawassee, Eugene (Bud) Holcomb of Young Harris , Fred Holcomb Jr. of Cleveland and brother in law Herbert Fain, also of Cleveland. as well as a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
