James (Jimmy) Millwood

Mr. James "Jimmy" Millwood, 71, of Flowery Branch passed away on October 4, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Cumming, GA, he was the son of the late Eugene and Gladys Keye Millwood. He was president of South Hall Optimist Club. He enjoyed working with youth and had served as Youth Pastor at Redwine United Methodist Church and Chicopee United Methodist Church. He was employed with Mead-WestVaco as shipping supervisor for 44 years. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a wonderful husband, father and friend who always put others before himself with a servant's heart.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son. Eddie Farist.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Millwood; son, Thom Millwood; son and daughter-in- law, Eddie and Shanda Millwood; son, Michael Farist; daughters, Michele Kendall, Lori Cantrell; son Tim Farist; grandchildren, Beau, Brelynn and Brody Millwood; sisters and brother in law, Betty and Glenn McDougald; sister, Linda Millwood; brother and sister in law, Wallace and Linda Kay Millwood; brother in law and sister in law, John and Robin Wimberly and a host other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2013 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. David Matthews and Rev. Mike Taylor will officiate. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
