Shirley L. Draper Lewis

Shirley L. Draper Lewis, age 88, of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at her residence following a brief illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, October 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Bob Garrett, Reverend Dayton Sosebee and Reverend Mike Gains will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 5, 2013 and Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 6 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lewis was born January 17, 1925 in Grant, Michigan to the late Richard Draper and Ethel Chaffin Draper. She was retired from Warren Featherbone and was of the Pentecostal Faith. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence Lewis and her son, Clarence Lewis, Jr.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her ten daughters, Marcia Young of Dahlonega, Kathleen Stortz of Hope, Michigan, Linda Moose of Murrayville, Patricia Myers of Lula, Gina Mutter of Gainesville, Mary Ann Leonard of Sanford, Michigan, Terry Wooten of Murrayville, Rita Pitts of Gainesville, Lola Mudd of Midland, Michigan and Nola Daniel of Gainesville, four sons, Jim Lewis of Gainesville, Kenneth Lewis of Jefferson, Richard Lewis of Elberton, Georgia and Wesley Lewis of Spring Lake, North Carolina, 70 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
