Nancy R. Lloyd, of Atlanta, passed away peacefully, on Oct. 1, 2013, just a mere two months after losing her beloved husband of 61 years, Bob. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Edna Robbins and was born in Rockingham, NC, May 11, 1924. After graduating from high school, she attended Business College for 2 years and then went to work as a secretary for the FBI in Charlotte, NC. While in Charlotte, she met and married her husband. Nancy also worked for Olan Mills as an executive assistant before starting a family and becoming a full time homemaker. She loved to travel with her husband, family and many friends to golf around the southeast. She was also an avid duplicate bridge player and a longtime volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was a 44 year member of Embry Hills United Methodist Church and Northwood's Golf Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Lloyd and a daughter, Karen Leigh, and is survived by a son, Gray Lloyd of Gainesville, GA and his wife Jane, two daughters, Leisa Cudworth of Cumming, Ga, and her husband, Jerry, and Carol Nicholson of Taccoa, Ga., 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Sat., Oct. 5, 2013 from 2-4pm at McDonald & Son Funeral Home in Cumming, Ga.
A graveside service will be held at 1pm Oct 7, 2013 at the Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro, NC.
