Clifford Loy Sanford Smith

Graveside service for Clifford Loy Sanford Smith, age 71, of Clarkesville will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM from the Clarkesville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mr. Smith died Monday, September 30, 2013 at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia.

Born in Houghton County, Michigan on May 2, 1942 Mr. Smith was the son of the late Guy Garnet and Nellie Heikkila Smith. Mr. Smith was a United States Air Force Veteran having served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Mr. Smith was an electrician and of the Lutheran faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his brother Clarence Smith and his brother-in-law Ernest English.

Survivors include his sister Charlotte English of Demorest and his sister and brother-in-law Corinne and Kenneth Woodall of Demorest.
