Ralph Edward Garrett

Mr. Ralph Edward Garrett, age 77 of 3174 Mize Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at his residence.

A son of the late Charlie Dance Garrett and Ellie Frances Fowler Garrett, he was born October 23, 1935 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, employed with Harbin Lumber Company for a number of years, member of the VFW and the Disabled American Veterans and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Marcelene Wilson Garrett; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Leon Kimsey of Toccoa; two grandsons, Blake Bowen and Dustin Garrett; brothers and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Helen Garrett and Robert Garrett both of Texas; sister, Edna Garrett of Texas; sisters-in-law, Lillian Garrett and Charlotte Garrett both of Elberton, Georgia.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, 11 O'clock AM at Currahee Baptist Church with the Reverend Tim Coley and the Reverend Billy Shirley officiating.

The family will be at the home on Mize Road and will receive friends at Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Interment will follow in Toccoa City Cemetery with Military Honors. Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for Mr. Ralph Edward Garrett.
