James Albert Davis

Mr. James Albert "Junior" Davis, age 90 of 2836 W. Currahee Street, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at his residence.

A son of the late James A. Davis, Sr. and Myrtle Black Davis, he was born March 18, 1923 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran. He served as Service Manager in various auto dealerships and was a member of Carnes Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Duvall Davis August 12, 2013.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Jerry Gibby, Karen and Jerry White, Amy and Al Huber all of Toccoa, Georgia and Emily and Louis Pannell of Hoschton, Georgia; grandchildren, Melinda and Mark Black of Clarkesville, Allen and Susan Ivester, Clay Huber, Chad Gibby all of Toccoa, Jennifer and Carlos Solano of Atlanta, Georgia and James Pannell of Hoschton, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Jay and Candice Ivester of Demorest, Georgia, Kelsey and Emilee Black of Oakwood, Georgia, Hayden Black of Clarkesville, Georgia and Anna Claire Ivester of Toccoa, Georgia; great-great grandchild, Liam Ivester of Demorest, Georgia; caregivers, Melinda Bell, Christy Norris, Marcie Barrett and Deb Woody.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 30, 2 O'clock PM at Carnes Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Earl Fowlkes officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers and should assemble at the funeral home by 1:00 PM, Allen Ivester, Clay Huber, Chad Gibby, James Pannell, Kelsey Black, Hayden Black, Jay Ivester, Mark Black and Carlos Solano.

The family will be at the home on West Currahee and will receive friends at Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday, September 29 from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Dr. Tommy Childress officiating. Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for Mr. James A. "Junior" Davis.
