Marilee Rosamond Todd Fickel

Marilee Rosamond Todd Fickel, age 85 of Hoschton, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013 at her residence following a brief illness.

Memorial services for family and friends are scheduled for Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 2:00pm at First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville. The family will also receive friends on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the church for one hour following the service. A private inurnment service will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Fickel was born July 14, 1928 in Buffalo, Wyoming to the late Lewis Allen Todd, Sr. and the late Ruth Stewart Todd. She was a retired Executive Secretary with Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville. Mrs. Fickel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl L. Fickel and her daughter, Denise Fickel Swords Maher.

Mrs. Fickel is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynne Cooper (Victor, Sr.) of Lawrenceville; son and daughter-in-law, Todd Fickel (Janice) of Hoschton; daughter and son-in-law, Hope Fickel Haney (Glen) of Suwanee; grandson, Victor Cooper, Jr. of Lawrenceville; grandson, James Cooper of Tulsa, OK; granddaughter, Kelly Swords Beck ( James) of Alpharetta; grandson, Douglas Swords (Lexi) of Valdosta; Lauren Fickel Buker (Jason) of Macon; granddaughter, Lindsey Fickel Lynes (Dan) of Atlanta; grandson, Ryan Fickel of Buford; grandson, Taylor Loyd of Atlanta; granddaughter, Madison Loyd of Suwanee; great-granddaughters, Julie Beck and Olivia Beck; great-grandsons, Liam Swords and Lane Swords; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Buker; great-grandson, Chase Buker and great-grandson, Holden Lynes.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Presbyterian Church, 800 South Enota Drive, Gainesville, GA 30501; American Cancer Society; Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center or an individual choice of charity.
