Walt Pendley

Mr. Walt Pendley, 82, of Oakwood, GA. passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013.



Born in Marble Hill, GA. on July 25, 1931, he was the son of the late Sam and Amanda Mealer Pendley. He was retired from Warren Featherbone as a shipping supervisor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Rejoice Baptist Church.



He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Diane Reed Pendley of Oakwood; daughter and son in law, Joy and Mike Brewer of Lula; sons and daughters in law, Roger and Gloria Pendley, Blake and Rena Pendley both of Oakwood, Edwin and Michelle Pendley of Gainesville; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; sisters, Lillian Mercer of Nelson, GA, Christine Walker of Jasper, GA; brother, William Pendley of Jasper and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and loving friends.



Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2013 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Joel Shadburn will officiate. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Saturday, September 21, 2013, 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
