Izora Lewallen Stevens

Mrs. Izora Lewallen Stevens, age 84 of Commerce died Monday, September 16, 2013 at Northridge Medical Center. Mrs. Stevens was born in Carnesville to the late, William Russell and Lula Segars Lewallen. Mrs. Stevens was a homemaker and a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stevens was also preceded in death by her husband, Stig Morris Stevens, two granddaughters, Melanie Waters and Kelly Wood Anderson.

Mrs. Stevens is survived by her daughters, Mildred Bell (Ricky) of Watkinsville, Mary Allen (Dave) of Danielsville, Bessie Minish (Payton) of Commerce, Betty Harris (Robert) of Jefferson, Ola Parsons of Warner Robbins, and Nora Waters (Curtis) of Eastanolle; sons, John Stevens (June) and Lester Stevens both of Commerce; sister, Mary Howington of Monroe; 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 17, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Gordon officiating with the interment following at New Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 12-2 PM.
