Lee F. Wood

Mrs. Lee F. Wood, 86 of Gillsville died Saturday September 14, 2013.

Born in Clarkesville, Ga, Mrs. Wood was the daughter of the late William Lee and Ina Dawkins Frankum, Sr. She had lived in Banks County for most of her life. She attended the University of Georgia. Mrs. Wood had worked as a teacher for Banks County and the Buford City School Systems for a number of years, she also had worked as Controller for Evans Tool and Dye in Conyers, Ga., and also had worked as the office manager for Judge W.L. Norton, Jr., at Norton Institutes on Bankruptcy Law. Mrs. Wood was a member of the Midway United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, George Wood, Gillsville; sons and daughters-in-law; Chris and Joy Wood, Barnesville, Ga., Tim and Lesa Wood, Collierville, TN., grandchildren; Kim Wood and Franklin Artz, Birmingham, AL, Kate and Terry Oemke, Marietta, Ga., Kristin and Matt Regenold, Collierville, TN., Christopher and Allison Wood, Knoxville, TN., great grandchildren, Amelia Artzwood, Birmingham, AL., and Savannah Hope Regenold, Collierville, TN., sister, Joyce Seabolt, Gainesville.

Mrs. Wood is preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday September 17, 2013 at the Midway United Methodist Church. Rev. Marshall Dale and Rev. Monty Bell will officiate. Interment will follow in the Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Monday September 16, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
