Bob Mabry

Bob Mabry, age 91, of Baldwin, Georgia passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2013.

Mr. Mabry was born on September 6, 1922, in Franklin County; son of the late Walter and Nancy King Mabry. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Sam Mabry and James Mabry; sisters Clio Mabry and Ruth Mabry. Mr. Mabry was a United States Navy Veteran serving in W.W.II, Mr. Mabry was a retired Director of Accounting for The Southern Railway System with 42 years of service. Mr. Mabry was a member of Gaines Chapel United Method Church, also was a member of the Masons, Scottish Rite and Shriners.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Priscilla Payne Mabry, Baldwin; A number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Mabry was the last member of his immediate family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Tim House officiating. Interment will follow in Lane Family Cemetery with Full military honors will be provided by the United States Navy Color Guard, The Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720, the Habersham County American Legion Post #84, and the Rabun County DAV Chapter #15.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2013 at the funeral home.
