Annie Laura Peck

Obituary Date: Thursday, September 12, 2013

Annie Laura Peck, age 84 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Stacey Phillips, Reverend Clack Stubbs and Reverend J. L. Yopp will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 13, 2013 and Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 7 - 9 pm at the funeral home. Special family friend and former pastor, Reverend Billy Emmett, held a special devotional with the family prior to her passing.

Mrs. Peck was born February 22, 1929 in Maysville, Georgia to the late Henry "Shug" Dale and Leathy Burch Dale. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Annie was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers & sisters-in-law, John & Ethel Dale and Tom & Bernice Dale, brother, Jack Dale (killed in action in France during WWII), sisters & brothers-in-law, Kathleen & Clifford McClure, Minnie & Earl McClure, Pauline & Clyde McClure and Jimmie Lou & Opp Samples. She loved to cook for her family and friends and loved to fish.

Mrs. Peck is survived by her husband of 63 years, Elmer Peck of Gainesville, daughter & son-in-law, Connie & Allen Turner of Gainesville, daughter, Kathy Peck of Gainesville, granddaughter & husband, Lori & Chad Cobb, granddaughter, Amanda Turner, great-grandchildren, Emily Cobb, Haley Cobb and Camron Cobb.
