Josephine A. 'Jo' Ragano

Obituary Date: Thursday, September 12, 2013



Josephine A. "Jo" Ragano, age 86, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at a local area hospital following a sudden illness.



Ms. Ragano was born on February 3, 1927, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Joseph and Theresa Scaglione Ragano. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Thomas. Ms. Ragano was a member of The Torch Worship Center. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School and Columbia Bible College. She entered the field of missionary work when she graduated from Bible College. Jo served in the Bahama Islands (Treasure Island), Bogata, South America; Seville, Spain; Cuba; Mexico; and Moscow, Russia. She served in many, many volunteer ministries even after she retired from the mission field up to days before her death. Jo enjoyed listening to music, walking, singing, and Bible reading.



Survivors include her sisters, Rose Ciucio and Nancy Vega, both of Tampa, FL; brother, Manny Ragano, Cartersville; and all of their families.



Memorial services will be held at a later date for Josephine.
