Martha Lou Patterson

Martha Lou Patterson, age 76 of Oakwood, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Lymen Caldwell and Reverend Mike Williams will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 4 - 9 pm at the funeral home.


Mrs. Patterson was born October 23, 1936 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Willie L. Flanagan and Amy Brookshire Flanagan. She was retired from Wrigley's and was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church. Martha was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.


Mrs. Patterson is survived by her husband, Kenneth Patterson of Oakwood, daughter & son-in-law, Vickey & Jackie James of Gainesville, sons, Alan Evans of Flowery Branch and Michael Patterson of Oakwood, grandson, Kyle James, granddaughter, Kayla James, sisters & brothers-in-law, Myrtle & Jack Douglas of Oakwood and Margaret & Larry Douglas of Oakwood, sister, Wilma Peters of Flowery Branch and brother & sister-in-law, Hoyt & Linda Flanagan of Dawsonville.
