Chuck Lanier Ransom

Chuck Lanier Ransom, age 52 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in New Holland Cemetery. Mr. Allan Sargent will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 6 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Ransom was born April 17, 1961 in Gainesville, Georgia to Haskell Ransom and Winnell Williamson Ransom Jordan. He was a Painter by trade and was of the Baptist Faith. Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Haskell Ransom.

Mr. Ransom is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Christopher & Angela Ransom of Gainesville, daughter, Maggie Vandiver of Lula, granddaughter, Alexis Ransom, grandson, Chris Dunwoodie, mother, Winnell Jordan of Gainesville, sisters & brothers-in-law, Tonya & Ed Smith of Clermont and Cathy & Paul Knight of Dahlonega, sisters, Donna Anema of Gainesville and Pam Harris of Gainesville, brothers, Ed Dale of Gainesville, Gene Ransom of Gainesville, Teddy Ransom of Winder and Eddie Grant of Conyers, special niece, Sunny Burtz of Gainesville and special nephew, Scott Burtz of Gainesville.
