Mrs. Alley Rochester Terrell, 87 of Gainesville passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Benjamin Bowman "Ben" Terrell, her son, also passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Terrell was born January 12, 1926 in Clarkesville, GA. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Bowman Rochester and Cuba Alley Rochester. She had lived in Hall County for most of her life. Mrs. Terrell was very active in a number of community affairs and was a member of the Junior League where she had served as President. Mrs. Terrell was a member of the Gainesville First United Methodist Church.
Ben Terrell was a lifelong resident of Gainesville born October 16, 1957. He was a truck dispatcher with K & D Transport and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Ben was a fine golfer and the consummate Georgia Bulldogs fan.
Survivors for Mrs. Terrell include her husband of 65 years, Joe M. Terrell, Gainesville; son, Mike Terrell, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law; Scott and Christy Terrell, Buford; daughter-in-law; Stephanie Terrell, Gainesville; granddaughters, Mary Kate Terrell, Martha Terrell and Haley Terrell.
Survivors for Ben include his wife, Stephanie Terrell, Gainesville; daughters, Mary Kate Terrell, Gainesville, Martha Terrell, Athens; father, Joe M. Terrell, Gainesville; brother, Mike Terrell, Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law; Scott and Christy Terrell, Buford, niece, Haley Terrell.
Joint memorial services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Thursday, September 12 at 4:00 pm with the Rev. Chuck DeBardeleben officiating. The family will receive friends at Westminster Presbyterian Church immediately following the memorial service.
