Emmie Joyce Gilbert

Emmie Joyce Gilbert, age 77, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Gilbert; parents, Eugene and Jessie Dell Holmes; sister, Mary Moulder; brother, James Howard Holmes; granddaughter, Brittany Pruitt; son-in-laws, Lanier Pruitt and Tommy Dickerson.

Mrs. Gilbert is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws, Carolyn & Ronnie Nichelson of Cumming, Peggy Pruitt of Dawsonville, Sharon Dickerson of Gainesville, Beverly Sparks of Cumming, Susie Owen of Dahlonega, Tracy & Mark Mobarry of Dawsonville, Kimberly & Brett Jones of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law Howard E. & Norma Gilbert of Gainesville; sisters, Jean Brannon, Martha Nichelson; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry & Wynelle Holmes; 15 grandkids; 19 great grandkids; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Dickerson and Rev. Terry Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow at Warsaw Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., Monday from 9 a.m.to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Warsaw Cemetery.
