Gloria Janice Sutton Seabolt

Gloria Janice Sutton Seabolt, age 66, of Cleveland, GA, passed away August 27, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA following a short illness.

Janice was born in Lumpkin County December 14, 1946 and lived in Lumpkin County most of her life.

Janice was a graduate of Lumpkin County High School and was employed for several years as a bookkeeper at the Caravelle Travel Agency in Gainesville. Later she was employed at Southern Switches in Dahlonega for several years. She was a member of Cavender Creek Baptist Church in Lumpkin County for many years. She had a voice of an Angel and she was a member of the Sutton Trio for several years with her mother and sister, singing at churches, on the radio, and funerals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Seabolt, father, Walter R. Sutton, and a brother-in-law, Joe Abercrombie.

Janice is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Chad Waters and Tammy Tucker, Dahlonega, GA; daughter, Leah Chan Waters, Gainesville, GA; mother, Gean Brookshire Sutton Draper, Dahlonega, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Robert Anderson, Dahlonega, GA; grandsons, Cody and Casey Waters; granddaughter, Bailey Brooksher . A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Janice are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, August 30, 2013 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Stephen Adams and Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Cavender Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 6 PM until 9 PM, Thursday, August 29, 2013 2 PM until 9 PM, and again on Friday, August 30, 2013 10 Am until 2 PM.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to your favorite charity in Janice's memory.
