Lyman Lee Dailey

Lee, born February 6, 1939 went to be with the Lord August 26, 2013. A native Atlantan, he attended Atlanta Public Schools, Georgia State College and Atlanta Law School. Lee was admitted to practice law in 1961 at the age of 22. He practiced law at the firms of Heyman and Sizemore; Pye, Groover, Edenfield and Dailey and then Lipscomb, Johnson, Sleister , Dailey and Smith until his death. Preceded in death by his parents, Duard Lee and Camille Smith Dailey, he is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Davis Dailey, son Robert Lee and Cathi Dailey; Daughter, Dee Ann and Ashley Turner, grandsons, Trenton Dailey Turner, Trevor Ashley Turner, Treyton Thomas Turner, and sister, Gloria Dailey Bonner.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Lee hunted ducks in Louisiana, white wing dove in Mexico, pheasant in North and South Dakota, quail in Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Georgia. A favorite hobby, Lee was a champion bill fisherman in Florida and Alabama. He also caught sail fish in Costa Rica and trout in North Georgia.
A seasoned traveler, he visited 23 countries and 45 states in his travels, with Italy, Israel, New York and the Emerald Coast of Florida as some of his favorite destinations.
Lee loved his Lord and was active in membership at First Redeemer Church in Cumming, GA, where he served faithfully. He grew and provided vegetables from his small farm to feed hundreds of families through the There's Hope for the Hungry ministry. Previously, he was a long-time member and trustee of Mt. Carmel Christian Church. He was also a member of the Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity.
Visitation for Lee will be at Ingram Funeral Home, Cumming, GA Thursday, August 29, 2013, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Services will be held Friday, August 30, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at First Redeemer Church. Dr. Richard Lee and Rev. Mike Schmid officiating. Interment immediately following at Westview Cemetery with Rev. C. Ashley Turner officiating.
