William 'Bill' Drake

Mr. William "Bill" Drake, age 65, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his wife of thirteen years on August 2, 2013, Vicki Heizer Drake and his second wife of twenty-one years, Anne Plaster Drake. He is survived by his children, Michele Drake, Atlanta, GA, W. Eric and Lisa Drake, Alpharetta, GA and Chris and Rita Drake, Springfield, MO; Jennifer and Jack Dunham, Sugar Hill, GA; step son, Will Lamb, Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Sabrina Drake, Chandler Drake, Olivia Dunham, Nate Dunham and Angelina Drake; step mother, Elaine Drake, Cleveland, OH; and his "dog", Buddy. Mr. Drake was born December 28, 1947 in Cleveland, OH. He was a 1965 graduate of Mayfield High School and attended Cleveland State University. He was a retired accountant from Cox Enterprises after eleven years of service. He loved NASCAR and was an avid gardener.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, with Dr. Lamar Holley officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association in memory of Bill Drake.
