Debbie Woodring Brewer

Obituary Date: Saturday, August 24, 2013


Debbie Woodring Brewer, 59, of Flowery Branch passed away on August 24, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded to heaven by her loving husband, Neal (Bubba) Brewer. She is survived by her parents, Mr. Loy and Mrs. Inez Woodring of Gainesville, Georgia, her sister, Dr. Gaye Cronin and her husband, Mr. Charlie Cronin of Atlanta, Georgia, her mother- in-law, Mrs. Estelle Brewer, sister-in-laws, Ms. Linda Godfrey and Ms. Kathy Brewer, a niece, Christi Miller and her husband, Bob Miller of Gainesville, Georgia, She is also survived by uncles and aunts, Vaughn Woodring, Louell and Ray Roper, Evan and Grace Woodring, and Eloise Woodring, numerous cousins, relatives, and an uncle and aunts through marriage.

Mrs. Brewer, or Deb as people knew her, was from Gainesville, Georgia, went to East Hall High School, graduated summa cum laude with a BA in accounting from Brenau University, and earned her certified public accounting (CPA) credentials. She worked as an auditor for the internal revenue service, as a comptroller for major corporations, and a CPA at several accounting firms. Recently, she had been working as an accounting and financial consultant.

She was an active member of the Blackshear Place Baptist Church and was philanthropic to many local, national, and international charitable causes. Debbie was loved by many and passionately loved her family, friends and her cherished dogs. She was a beautiful, caring, compassionate person that enriched many lives and she will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

A service to honor her will be held Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 4:00 pm at the Blackshear Place Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 12:30 p.m. until 2: 00 p.m.
