Bobby Gene 'Jay' Hunter

Mr. Bobby Gene (Jay) Hunter, age 77, of Dahlonega, Georgia , passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013.

Mr. Hunter was born in Statham, Georgia on August 28, 1935. He was a resident of Lumpkin County for 32 years. He was employed most of his career in the nursery business.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Marvel A. and Exa Lyle Hunter; and a brother, Marvel A. Hunter, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Regina H. Hunter, Dahlonega, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Andrea Hunter, Sterrett, AL, Matt and Linda Hunter, Woodstock, GA, Jeff and Linda Hunter, Mint Hill, NC; daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Greg Lampton, Powder Springs, GA, Terri and Bryson Wilkins, Dahlonega, GA; brother, Jack D. Hunter, Jacksonville, Florida. 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren also survive.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday August 31, 2013 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, Georgia.
