William (Bill) Churchill

Mr. William (Bill) Churchill, 74, of Flowery Branch, GA, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of forty-seven years, Patricia Louise Churchill; father William Clifford Churchill and mother Lillie Mae Churchill. He is survived by his wife Viola Brown Churchill; and children, Tim Churchill, Oakwood, GA; Barry and Edwina Churchill, of Young Harris, GA; Carrie and David Shadburn, Flowery Branch, GA; grandchildren, Ryan Shadburn, Megan Shadburn, Chris Churchill, Zandra Churchill, Cordel Dye; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn and Wayne Guinn, Monroe, GA; Joette and Freddie Martin, Monroe, GA; brother, Terry and Debbie Churchill, Monroe, GA.

Mr. Churchill was born May 17, 1939 in Bethlehem, GA He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a 1955 graduate of Monroe High School, Monroe, GA. Mr. Churchill was a retired mobile home contractor. He had worked for University Chevrolet in Athens, GA for eighteen years. He was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church, Oakwood, GA; and attended Grace Baptist Church, Monroe, GA.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Shadburn and Chaplain Mary Leonard officiating.

Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
