Sara Evelyn Loudermilk Sexton

Sara Evelyn Loudermilk Sexton, age 89 of Cornelia, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013.

Born on December 27, 1923 in Habersham County, she was a daughter of the late William Henry and Thomas Willie Collins Loudermilk. Mrs. Sexton was a homemaker and member of Cornelia Christian Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a great homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wesley "Bob" Sexton, whom she married on May 1, 1944; sons, Bobby and Danny Sexton; brother and sister-in-law, Hollis & Ruth Loudermilk; great granddaughter, Lauren Nicole Howard.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Kay & Donald Howard of Cornelia; sons and daughters-in-law, Terrie & Susan Sexton of Woodbridge, VA and Doug & Peggy Sexton of Mt. Airy; niece and husband, Sharon & Ray Stratton of Clarkesville; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services are 1:00 pm Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Luther Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-9 pm on Thursday.
