Judy W. Pruitt

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Judy W. Pruitt, age 69 of Clarkesville. Mrs. Pruitt passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013 . Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Friday, August 23, 2013 from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Grady Walden officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Judy was born in Hall County on October 17, 1943 to the late Mood Dover and Lois Shedd Dover. She was the owner and operator of Farmers Market Cafe in Helen from 1998 to 2010. and was a longtime member of Clarkesville Baptist Church. Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel Pruitt.

Survivors include her children, Margaret Harkins of Cleveland, Martha Nichols, Cleveland, Sylvia Tench of Clarkesville, Brad Farmer of Dawsonville, Joey Farmer and Jeff Farmer, both of Atlanta and Patricia Farmer of Clarkesville; sister, Jeanette Fields of Clermont and brothers, Johnny Dover and Jerry Dover also of Clermont. Judy's step children include Kathy Freeman , Mike Pruitt , Jeff Pruitt and Scotti Pruitt as well as 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Flowers will be acknowledged or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
