Warren Wright Kent, Jr.

Warren Wright Kent, Jr., 71, of Clarkesville, Georgia, died August 16th, 2013. He attended Nacoochee United Methodist Church in Sautee-Nacoochee, Georgia. Survivors: wife of 56 years, Lynne Puryear Kent, Father; Warren Wright Kent, Brother; James Roy Kent, Daughters and Sons-in-law; Julia Kent, Melinda K. Parsons and Earl B. Parsons III, Nancy K. Squires and James W. Squires, Grandchildren; Allison Couvillion, Brian Wilson, Kaitlyn Parsons, Earl Parsons IV, Rebecca Squires, Alex Squires, Kent Squires, Christopher Squires and one great grandchild; Mac Couvillion.

Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 1:00pm at Nacoochee United Methodist Church (www.nacoocheeumc.org) in Sautee-Nacoochee, Georgia. Reception at the church following the service where family will receive friends.

Warren graduated from Auburn University in 1965 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, he joined the Air Force to defend freedom and fight for his country. He was in charge of all sentry dogs in the I and II Corp in Vietnam, stationed at DaNang AFB. He was in charge of all NATO sentry dogs for Europe, stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany.After honorably serving his country, he moved to Birmingham, AL where he became owner and director of Kent's Animal Clinic from 1972-1981. During this time, he also became a real estate investor. In 1981, he moved to Helen, Georgia. He was Chief Judge Municipal Court of Helen, Georgia where he served for 14 years. In 1991, he became a Certified Financial Planner and Registered Investment Advisor. He was leader and active participant in many different civic and professional organizations; such as Rotary Club (Director, President), American Veterinary Medical Association, Alabama Veterinary Medical Association and Financial Planner Associations.
