Ronny Lee Porter

Ronny Lee Porter, age 66, of Gainesville, GA passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013, at his home, following a long illness.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel with the Reverend Jack Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the funeral hour at 7.

Ronny a native of Hall County, Georgia; was born on December 23, 1946, the son of the late Glen Porter and Louise (Coker) Porter. He was a truck driver for Candler Concrete for over 23 years. He is preceded in death along with his parents; a brother and a sister.

Ronny is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Connie (Franklin) Porter, of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Tad Laine Porter and Dawn (Burke) Porter; daughter, Rhonda Porter; grandchildren, Desiree and Savannah Porter; mother-in-law, Frankie Porter; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Marcus and Tracy Franklin; brother-in-law, Allen Franklin; nieces and nephews, Tiffany, Brandon and Zachary Franklin and Alex Cole. He is also survived by an additional 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
