Richard Watson Frontera, Jr.

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Richard Watson Frontera, Jr. 55, of Jefferson, Ga. who passed away Saturday August 17, 2013.

Mr. Frontera was born in Tripoli, Africa, a son of the late Richard Watson Frontera, Sr. and the late Barbara Ann Bryan Frontera. Mr. Frontera was co-owner of Salvador's Italian Grill in Jefferson for many years and along with his wife, started Sweet Pea's Country Cuisine. Mr. Frontera loved food and the relationships that he built by serving the community of Jefferson and surrounding areas. Mr. Frontera loved his family and working closely with them in the business that he was so passionate about. Mr. Frontera was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Frontera was preceded in death by his sister, Ronna Anderson.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn J. Frontera, Jefferson, Ga., daughter and son in law, Elexis and Joshua Brewer, Gainesville, Ga., son, Richard Joseph Frontera, Jefferson, Ga., granddaughter, Madison Grace Frontera, Alpharetta, Ga., brother and sister in law, Charles Douglas and Angelika Frontera, Valdosta, Ga., and a number of other relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday August 22, 2013 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Evans Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Richard "Papa" Frontera, P.O. Box 1071 Jefferson, Ga., 30549.
