Margaret Kinney Dixon

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Margaret Kinney Dixon, age 87 of Cleveland. Mrs. Dixon passed away Friday, August 16, 2013.

Margaret was born in Habersham County on February 26, 1928 to the late Harvey Cleo Kinney and Ora Roper Kinney. She had lived in White County most of her life. Along with her husband, the late W.C. Dixon, they owned and operated the Dixon Insurance Agency in Cleveland for several years. Margaret was a licensed insurance agent and broker and earned the confidence of her customers and her peers as well. She loved her family and even in the midst of losing her husband, W.C. Dixon, son, Sam Dixon and grandsons, Matt and Adam Dixon, maintained her faith in God and a love for her church, Cleveland First Baptist, where she was an active member for many years.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Frances Dixon and partner, Wade Lindorme of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Joe and Pam Dixon of Charlotte, NC; daughter in law, Pam Potter Dixon of Cleveland; grandchildren; Scott Black, Mark Dixon, Maggie Dixon, Cole Dixon and Paige Dixon. Margaret is also survived by her great grandson, Austin Black.

Flowers will be acknowledged, however the family requests that memorial donations be made to the W.C. Dixon, Matt Dixon, Adam Dixon Scholarship Fund at Truett McConnell College, 100 Alumni Drive, Cleveland, Georgia 30528.
