Jerry Lamar Fowler

Jerry Lamar Fowler, age 70 of Chestnut Mountain, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. Reverend Phil Carpenter and Reverend Mike Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 6 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Fowler was born February 7, 1943 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Albert Fowler and Pauline Watkins Fowler. He was retired and was a member of Chicopee Baptist Church. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jimmy Fowler and his aunt, Ruby Watkins.

Mr. Fowler is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda Fowler of Chestnut Mountain, his daughter and son-in-law, Dana & Mitch Stewart of Oakwood, son and fiancé, Ched Fowler & Tami Kersh of Gainesville, son, Brent Fowler of Gainesville, sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy & Jimmy Kemp, Linda & Mickey Patterson and Nancy & Larry Phillips, all of Gainesville, grandchildren, Avery Fowler, Ethan Stewart, Caleb Stewart, Jeremy Fowler, Rachel Fowler, Michelle Davis and Sarah Barrett and 3 great-grandchildren.
