Helen Christine Sanders, age 80, of Buford, GA passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013.

She was born January 13, 1933 to the late Benoy and Molly Samples. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Coolidge Sanders; brother, Harvin Samples; and sister, Margaret Smith. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Jack Lynn, Flowery Branch, GA; and her son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Joan Sanders, Buford, GA; grandchildren, Paul and Tammy Lynn, Flowery Branch, GA, Katrina and Chris Cain, Flowery Branch, GA, Waylon Sanders, Buford, GA and Tracy and Tyler Hutton, Winder, GA; step-grandchildren, Glyndia Elko and Tom Baggwell; great-grandchildren, Lee and Jessica Cain, Flowery Branch, GA, Beth and Gavin Lynn, Flowery Branch, GA, Calab Hutton, Winder, GA.; and step-great grandchildren, Rebecca, Clay and Jack Bulloch, Cumming, GA; and one great great-grandson. She is also survived by two brothers and sister-in-laws, Franklin and Carol Samples, Buford, GA, Jimmy and Brenda Samples, Buford, GA; and two sisters Carantha Sanders, Auburn, GA and sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Clinton Green, Winder, GA. Survivors also include a host of nieces and nephews. She was retired from Peachtree Doors in 1967 after 19 years of service. After her retirement, she babysat several great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sanders was an active member of Buford Church of God for the past forty-seven years, and served on the food ministry for 15 years, and a member of Prime Timers Senior Group at Buford Church of God. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Shadburn, Rev. Lamar Hansard, and Rev. Joey Grizzle officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
