Albert Lee Franklin

Albert Lee Franklin, age 79 of Murrayville, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Kenneth Pilcher and Reverend Billy Trotter will officiate. The family will receive friends at his residence, 6645 Henry Smith Road, Murrayville, Georgia 30564.

Mr. Franklin was born April 3, 1934 in Cleveland, Georgia to the late Will Franklin and Olie Wiggley Franklin. He was a retired farmer and a member of Christian Baptist Church.

Mr. Franklin is survived by daughters, Connie Porter of Dahlonega, Kathy Gunter of Banks County and Joann Sullens of Gainesville, sons, Ronnie Lee Franklin of West Hamlin, West Virginia, Marcus Franklin of Dahlonega and Kenneth Franklin of Gainesville, 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and sister, Irene Masters of Liberty, South Carolina.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.
