Joseph Wilton LeBlanc, Jr.,

Joseph Wilton LeBlanc, Jr., known as Buddy, was born on June 27, 1931 in Atlanta GA and died on August 3, 2013 in Flowery Branch, GA. He was the son of Joseph Wilton LeBlanc, Sr. and Anna Maria Wyndelts. He graduated from Grady High School, attended Georgia Tech for two years and enlisted in the US Navy. Two of his sons followed in his footsteps by serving in the navy and army. He worked for various liquor distributors until his retirement.

He is survived by his children: Debbie LeBlanc Foster (Mike) of Matthews, NC; Lynn LeBlanc and Robert Boggs of Flowery Branch, GA; Bo LeBlanc (Libby) of Loganville, GA; Chris LeBlanc (Diana) of Jacksonville Beach, FL; Lisa LeBlanc Henderson of Braselton, GA; Tim LeBlanc (Sabryna) of Gainesville, GA. In addition to the children, Buddy is survived by his brother, Richard LeBlanc (Mozelle), sister Carolyn Avera, former son-in-law Mark Henderson, former wife Geraldine Conner LeBlanc, 10 grandchildren: Christopher Foster; Michael and Daniel LeBlanc, Margi, Drew, Boyd and Max Freggens; Chad and Cooper Henderson; Brittany LeBlanc; and a number of nieces and nephews.

These are the things we knew and loved most about him. He was a gifted story-teller and loved to tell jokes, often with an Irish accent. He could charm any animal and never left the house without dog treats in his pocket. He was proud of his Cajun roots. And he loved to tinker with machinery, engines and equipment of any sort.

Arrangements are being handled through Flanigan Funeral Home, 4400 S Lee St., Buford, GA 30518.

Visitation will be at Flanigan's from 5 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday, August 6. A memorial service will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, 2443 Mt. Vernon Rd., Dunwoody, 30338, on Wednesday, August 7th at 11:30 am. Donations can be made to your favorite animal rescue shelter in lieu of flowers.
