Rebecca Jane Allen Black

Mrs. Rebecca Jane Allen Black age 91 of Atlanta, GA died Saturday, August 3, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Black was born in Commerce to the late, Frank and Earlie Seagraves Allen. Mrs. Black was retired as the director of circulation of the library at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She was a member of Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church of Atlanta. She graduated from Ila High School and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Black was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Thomas Black.
Mrs. Black is survived by her daughter, Earlene Vestal of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Philip Vestal of Augusta, GA, Joel Vestal of Indianapolis, IN, and Anne Vestal Edwards of Jacksonville, FL; five great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 7 at 1:00 PM from First Baptist Church of Commerce with Dr. Daniel Vestal and Dr. Carlton Allen officiating.
